These game rules are effective from 15th March 2024. All previous games rules are cancelled.
Join any pot up before the first game starts by depositing the entry fee or using free bets. Each pot will have a different number of fixtures, so check the details page. Betmate takes a percentage of the total prize pool as an administrative fee.
For each game in the pot, you must select a player (Goal Scorer) who you think will score anytime during the match. The final result is determined by the goals scored after 90 minutes of play, plus any injury time. Even if the game goes to extra time or penalties, the goals scored at the end of regular time are what count.
For every fixture you correctly predict a Goal Scorer in, you will receive 4 points. Incorrect predictions earn 0 points. Your total score is the sum of all Goal Scorers in the pot.
Your score updates in real time as each game finishes, so you can see how you're doing during play. After the last game in the pot, check the final leaderboard to see if you finished in a paid position and won a share of the prize pool.Remember to have fun and gamble responsibly. Good luck! 🍀

Public Pots: Betmate charges a fixed admin fee on public pots once the set guarantees and margin amounts are met. The payouts for public pots are fixed and will only increase if the pot meets the required threshold and criteria to activate Pot Overdrive (see full terms).
Private Pots: Private pots still have an admin fee of 0%. The payout for these pots increases with each new entry, directly reflecting the entry fee paid by participants.
In-play points scoring is for the enjoyment of all Betmate customers. However, official scoring only happens once the pot is finalised.Once pots are finalised, pots will move to your “Settled Bets” section of the app. Occasionally, data providers may change official scores after a pot has been settled on Betmate. These corrections are rare, but can occur.Any changes to official scoring after a pot is settled will not impact pots that have been settled and we will honour payouts that have already been settled. If at any point, you have queries about the data we are receiving from our data provider, please contact support@betmate.app who will be able to help. We use official statistics from Opta for the purposes of our scoring system. We may change third-party providers on occasion without notice.
The winner(s) of a game will be the player(s) who scores the most points during the game. The distribution of the prize pot can vary based on the game rules set by the creator. Examples of payout structures include:"Winner Takes All": The player with the highest-scoring selections will receive the entire prize pool.Top 3 Split: The prize pool could be divided among the top three players with the highest-scoring selections, such as 70% for first place, 20% for second place, and 10% for third place. As the number of entries increases, the payout structures may be adjusted to distribute rewards to a greater number of players. For example, with more entries, the prize pool could be expanded to include payouts for additional top positions, such as fourth and fifth place, ensuring that more participants benefit from the prize pool.
In the event where multiple players finish a game with an equal amount of points and finish in a place paid by the prize pool, any monies will be equally distributed amongst those players. If the number of players who finish a game with an equal amount of points and finish in a place paid by the prize pool is greater than the number of places paid by the prize pool, then the prize pool will be combined and split equally amongst the number of players. If multiple players finish in a position, they will also share the positions beneath them, meaning that multiple players can finish joint first, joint second and joint third. The player who finishes next would be regarded as finishing fourth, not second. Some examples are:If the game is “winner takes all” with a prize pool of £100 and 2 players finish with the most points, the prize pool will be shared equally, meaning each player will receive £50.If the game is “winner takes all” with a prize pool of £100 and 5 players finish with the most points, the prize pool will be shared equally, meaning each player will receive £20.If the game pays £100 for first place, £50 for second place and £30 for third place and 2 players finish with the most points, the players who finished first and second are both regarded as having finished joint first and joint second. The first and second place monies will be combined and shared equally, meaning that the players that finished in first and second place will receive £75 each.If the game pays £100 for first place, £50 for second place and £30 for third place and 10 players finish with the most points, all 10 players are regarded as having finished joint first, joint second and joint third. The first, second and third place monies will be combined and shared equally, meaning that each of the 10 players will receive £18.
You can only withdraw funds to a debit card, withdrawal of funds to a credit card is prohibited and will not be processed. You must have a minimum of £20 in your account for us to process a withdrawal.
In the event that a fixture is cancelled, postponed or rescheduled, that fixture will be void from the pot. In the event that the whole pot is voided, each player will be refunded their entry fee.
If a fixture is not completed, the fixture will be void for every player and no player will score points on this fixture.
